TRUTHFUL GEORGE.

Sir, — In the Police Commissioners' report of Mr George Thomson's evidence, I find the following question and answer : — " Do you consider it your duty to inform the police of breaches of the law ?" — " I am not an informer and I don't mean to be." In his recent address at Stirling, George frankly admitted he was the informer in the first of the sly grog prosecutions in the Clutha, and explaiued that he informed the police from a sense of duty. And yet he expects people to believe his statements about respectable men and women ! — I am, &c, Disgusted.
