HACK RACING CLUB.
Trivcn a fine clay the first meeting under the auspices of the locil Hack Racing Club, on Friday promises to be a vory successful oue. The entries for eacli event are particularly good, and there is every reason to believe that most of the horses will face the starter. The course is (Jo chains round, and is. on the whole, a good one. Considerable interest is tnken in the meeting by our local sports, and training and timing hag boon the order of the day — morning, noon, and night— on the back streets and other training grounds. In connection with the meeting, the weekly half-holiday this week will be held on Friday, and it is understood that excursion fares will be arranged for on the railways. Mr Jas. Thomson's new drag will ply between the township and the course during the afternoon. [We have been asked to note that the nomination of Sydney (weight 10.7) for the Flying Handicap was accidentally omitted.] Til's by Flintlock. Hurdles.— Sydney 1, Fright 2, Waitutu 3.
