THE WORK OF THE SESSION.
The schedule of business of the House during the sessson shows that 24 select committees were set up, and 42 public bills received the Royal assent ; 88 were dropped or otherwise disposed of ; 1 private bill received the Royal assent ; 358 petitions were presented; 155 divisions were recorded ; 381 questions were asked of Ministers ; 216 papers were laid on the table ; 324 reports were received from select committees. The House sat on 51 days, the average daily sitting being 10 hours 10 minutes. The following is a list of the Acts passed during the session :— PUBLIC ACTS.
