BUENSIDE STOCK SALES.

Fat Cattle. — The large number of 200 head yarded. The sale proved a slow one particularly for medium sorts, which towards the close of the sale were difficult to find buyers for. Best bullocks sold at L7 to L 9 10s, medium LI 10s to L 6 10s, best cows and heifers L5 to L 7 15s, others L3 to L 4 10s.

Fat Sheep.— Only 1566 penned. A fair demand was experienced early in the sale, but towards the close prices again receded to the level of late rates. Any pens of prime wethers on offer elicited keen competition, and were quitted at prices showing a substantial advance on late rates. Best crossbred wethers sold at 10s to 12s 6d, medium 7s Gd to 9s 6d, best crossbred ewes 7s 6d to 9s, medium 5s 6d to 7s.

Fat Lamhs. — The market was over supplied, the large number of 1208 being more than sufficient for trade requirements. The majority of those penned were good to prime. A fair demand existed for lines suitable for export, but all classes sold somewhat in favour of buyers. Best lambs sold at 8s to 9s, extra prime to 10s 6d, medium 5s Gd to 7s 6d.

Pigs 100 were penned. A large number of thesejwere grain-fed porkers./which met a good demand. Other sorts were also well competed for prices being slightly in favour of sellers. Suckers sold at 9s to 12s Gd, slips 12s Gd to 13s, stores 16s to 19s, porkers 20s to 24s Gd, baconers 36s to 48s, extra heavy up to 51s.
