Friday 23rd irist;, when ; -very full entries s of both sheep and cattle veexe to hand. There was also a good attendance of settlers and dealers present, but doubtless owing to the unfavourable "weather prevailing, which is checking the flow of grass, that tinder more favourable circumstances would now be springing up, buyers did not display any eagerness' to compete, consequently 45 head of cattle and 510 sheep were turned out to wait a more favourable market, while 345 crossbred hoggets were sold at prices ranging from 8s 6d to 12s 7d, 63 head ,cattle (steers) fetching L 2 5s to L 3 Is, heifers L 2 is to, L 3 10s, and 18 pigs at 8s to 355. Dalgetyand Company (Limited) report: We sold privately 700 hoggets 7s to 11s, 150 head store cattle L 3 to L 6 10s.
