BURNSIDE STOCK SALES.

Fat Cattle.— Only 95 hend yarded. The demand at the commencement of the sale was very brisk and hi«jh prices ruled, but as ths sale progressed values eased fully 10s per head. Best bullocks brought L9 12s (id to JLII ; medium to good, L8 5s to L9 7s 6d ; light, L6 17s 6d to L7 17s 6d ; best cows, L8 10s to L9 '2s lid ; medium to good, L6 to L7 17s 6d ; light and aged, L3 los to L5 17s od.

Fat Sheep.— l664 penned, of which 25C were merino. A few pens of the crossbreds were wethers, and these met with a fair inquiry ; but the supply of ewes was altogether beyond the demand, and vow prices, more especially towards the end of the sale, had to be accepted to quit consignments. Best crossbred wethers brought 13s to 13s 9d ; medium to good 10s to 12s 6d ; best crossbred ewes, 10s 9d to L2s 6d ; medium to good, 7s 6d to 9s 9d ; merino wethers, 5s to lls 9d. ,

Pigs. — 58 were penned, mostly small sorts, and quite sufficient for requirements. Suckers brought lls to 133 6d ; slips, 153 to 18s ; porkers 28a to 32a ; baconers, 38s to 42s ; two or three extra heavy, 62a. Store Cattle.— The supply is still short of requirementa. A very satisfactory tone prevails all offering being readily placed. Store Sheep.— A moderate amount of business is passing but it is evident that this season bnyers are operating with a considerable amount of caution and are not disposed to give pr-cos that have ruled during the past few seasons.
