Telegrams have been received from Messina announcing that Mount Etna is now in a very violent state of eruption, and that as a result severe shocks of earthquake have been experienced over the island of Sicily. London, March 21. A somewhat powerful movement against the employment of Irishmen is being organised in Liverpool, and it is expected that it will extend to other towns.
