Messrs Maclean and Co. report for the week coding 10th March as follows :— Fat Cattle. — For this day's market there was a medium supply of 163 head yarded, principally fair quality, which were all taken by the trade, ■with-the exception of one or two pens, which xrepa turned out. Butchers being well supplied .from last week, the-- bidding w : as anything; but spirited,-' and 'prices fell fully 2s 6d per 10011>s. Our sales consisted of 65 head, including a prime draft.of 40 cows.' on account of the New Zealand and Australian Land -Company, anrl sundries on account of M^srs J. Sutherland, Pncherty, M'LeUh. and Johnston. Bullocks realised from E7to L 9 ; cows, from L 6 to L 8 10*. all medium weights. W« quote prime beef, 22a 6d ; inferior, 2urp«r lOOlbs. Fat Sheep.— The supply was again in excess of Lthe requirements, 2161 heing penned, 400 having .to hn turned oiit. We sold 540 on ac.count of Messrs J Bruce and J. Draper, at from 7s fid to B*' 6d". We qnote 'prime mutton at 1h 1 ■ to. IJJ per lh.. Privately, during the week, we have paced 1000 at quotations.
