Fat Cattle.— The supply was to-day, as on the :evious week, rather limited, 121 head only «ng yarded, about half of which were prime jality and heavy weights, the balance small but >r good beef. In consequence of the short Pphes lately to hand, competition to-day was usually spirited, resulting in a slight advance ; last week's rates, particularly in second ahty light weights. Best bullocks, very prime i heavy, brought £15 to £21 ; do do cows, f\ to £14 17s 6d ; medium light bullocks, £9 I » *? £12 ; do do cows, £8 10s to £10 10s— equal 7*2s 6d per lOOlbs for prime, and 32s 6d to 37s | ; for medium quality. Grain. — Wheat : The demand for export continues, but very little business has resulted during the week, the prices asked precluding operations. We quote prime quality at up to 4s 4d ; ordinary to good, 3s lid to 4s 2d; inferior saleable only for fowl feed. Barley : None in the marki-t, prices nominal. Oats are still in short supply, and prices are well maintained, milling and seed samples being worth 4s to 4s 2d ; ordinary to fine feed, 3s 9d to 3s lid.
