AT CLINTON. HYTE BROTHERS have received instructions from Messrs Murray and M'Oulloch to sell by public auction at Clinton, on Tuesday, April 2, at 12 o'clock, the whole freehold and leasehold properties, cattle, sheep, horses, farming implements, wheat, oats, &c, belonging to the said firm, comprising — Lot 1. Parts of Sections 1 and 2, Block VIII., together with the dwelling-house, butcher's shop, three-stalled stable, and all other buildings erected thereon, with Mincing and Sausage Machine, and all necessary appliances for • carrying on a butchery business ; also the Goodwill of the said business. Lot 2. Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10, Block XVII., contain-

ing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, each. - Lot 3. Sections 11, 12, 13, and 14, Block XVII. , containing by admeasurement 6f acres, fenced and under crop of turnips. Lot 4. Sections 13 and 14, Block XXII. , containing by admeasurement 1 rood each, fenced and improved, and very suitable for building sites. Lot 5. Lease of Section 1, Block XXIV., with • Slaughter-house erected thereon. The section is leased under section 9 of the Waste Lands Act, 1872, and has three years to run. The section contains by admeasurement two acres, is fenced and laid down in English grass. Lot 6. Lease for eighteen months of 35 acres, 10 acres of which are in stubble, 24 acres in natural grass, and 1 under potatoes and turnips. Lot 7. Lease of 119 acres under English and natural grass, situated in the Wairuna district. The lease has ten months to run. Lot 8. Six acreß Wheat in stack. Four acres Oats in stack. Lot 9. HORSES— 5 medium draught and light harness "jmares and gelding 3, all thoroughly staunch. 5 good hacks 1 first-class hack, by Nimrod, would make a fine carriage horse. 1 yearling filly. Lot 10. SHEEP— 350 pure-bred lambs. 50 2 and 4-tooth crossbred ewes and wethers. Lot 11. OTHER STOCK— 1 dairy cow, in full milk. 10 prime fat pigs. Lot 12. SUNDRIES— 1 spring cart, made to speoial order by Messrs Watson and Gow, Dunedin. 1 set cart harness, nearly new. 3 gent's riding saddles, with bridles, <&c, complete. 1 set cart and leading harness. 1 good pack-saddle. 1 set three-leafed iron harrows. 1 portable boiler, &c., &c. Special attention is called to the above sale as being the most important ever held in the district. The butchery business , has hitherto proved a very lucrative one, and still is gradually increasing. The buildings are in good order, iand all the 3 appliances for the business are complete. < Many of the sections are the best building ] sites in Clinton.
