Bro avii, with reference to- some, remarks which, were made by, several members of the Board' 'it the pre vipiis meeting;' r On 'the motion of Mr ' Murray, seconded by'Mr Blues; it was resolved' that the' ■letter be received. *'" Mr Murray moved,* and Mr Dall* se-' conded-, |"~ That Messrs Lindsay -be em.powered to/employ;Mr7Cumine .to do. the, work necessary in „the Milburn, .subdivision ; also, the Board to employ him when required.'/-— Carried. . ' TENDERS. ' The following tenders were received for formation of culverts near Fairfax :— Jas. ■Reid and Co., lfi 14s ; R. Thomson, Lli: 12s; D 7- Gordon, Ll2. For culverts in: Milburn subdivision : — John France, L 4 ls6d. Maintenance metal ; — John France, 8s per yard. . .■■ - • It was resolved that . Messrs Reid : and Co.'s tender be accepted for building the two 'culverts', 1 - subject to the approval of '■ the Chairman' ahd Mr Duthie ; and in' the • event' of" Messrs Reid and Co.'s tender not being in - accordance with specifications, that" the next lowest tender be accepted. It was resolved ■ thafc ■ J. . France's tender be accepted for the Milburn culvert. •-: . : ; '. REPAIRS. - . . , .Mr Blues was authorised to get the obstructions removed from the mouth of the culvert, and fill in ruts where necessary, in the Milburn subdivision. ' ■ - - '' Mr Dall was authorised to employ horse and cart and two men, to draw gravel and. fill-in ruts in the Helensbrook East, subdivision. Moved, by Mr Thomson, and.. seconded by Mr Twiss, " That tenders be called. for maintenance metal in. Helensbrook West subdivision." , . voters' 'roll. The Clerk laid upon the table the Voters'* Roll of all ratepayers who had paid' their rates up to 20th March.
