CRICHTON ROAD BOARD.

A meeting of the Crichton Road Board was held on November 11, at Bryce Bros, house. There were present : Meßsra Adam Landela (chairman)} Brycej and Morrison, A letter was read from William lias, objecting to the rates on his property at Stoney Creek. — The valuation was reduced to £10 per annum. Tenders were opened for works on district roads as follows : — Contract No. 1 : John Fraser, £20 10s ; R. Hewitson, £21 14s ; Malcolm Morrissoh, £32 16s. Con*traot No. 2 : John Eraser, £31 6s : R. Hewitson, £31 Its ; M, Morriseon, £32 Us. Contract No. 3 ; R. Hewitson, £74115; J. Kinder, £77 13s. Contract No. 4 J R. Hewitson, £39 15s ; J. Kinder, £43 10s. Contract No. 5 : J. Fraser, £19 0s 4d ; M. Morrisson, £24 4s 7d* Contract No. 6 ; John Currie, £9 13s

Mr Bryce moved that John Fraser's tenders for contracts Nob. 1, 2, and 5 be accepted. Seconded by Mr Morriason, and agreed to. Mr Morrisaon moved that the Vendors of Robert Hewitson for contracts Nos. 3 and 4be accepted. Seconded by Mr Bryce, and agreed to. Mr Bryce moved that John Currie'a tender be accepted for contract No. 6. Seconded by Mr Morrison, and agreed to. Messrs Bryce and, Morrison were appointed inspectors of works. The meeting then adj6umed.
