The Clutha Leader. BALCLUTHA: FRIDAY, JULY 28, 1876.
; last issue we published the boundgsofthe counties into which it was oposed to divide the Province of jffo. We called special attention to i County of Clutha, of which Baliiba would seem to be destined to be "county town ; and suggested that s matter should receive some atteniat the hands of members of Road ards, our Municipal authorities, &o. irill be observed that the question is no- considered elsewhere, and the deon to be arrived at can scarcely be exted to be in faVor of* Balclutha. This [shew the absolute necessity of some mpt action being taken on the part hose interested in the matter in this net.
*» 5 trial of strength between the astry and the Opposition will cornice to-day — so that in all probability shall have important Assembly news eport next week. The debate will mence upon Mr Whitaker's resolu- ?, and will likely be continued into question of separation upon which i sides in the meantime claim to 'a pledged majority.
