Fat Cattle. — 175 head were yarded at market to-day, the prices realised being an advance of fully 2s 6d per lOOlbs. Best bullocks brought frpm £10 10 to £13; cows, £8 10s to £11- -w equal to 37s 6d per lOOlbs for prime quality. We Isold 49 bead at yards. Fat Calves.— Only 12 were penned. These brought extreme rates, as much aa ?a being paid for good vealers. FatShsep.— 2soo came forward, chiefly crossWeds ; but the market having been fully supplied of. late, there was a difficulty in making sales. " We quote best cross-breds at 10s fid to 14s ; -merinos, 7b to 9s 6d, or 3d per lb former, «nd 2|d fbr latter. Store Cattle. — There is a good demand for well-grown bullocks and cows at late prices.

Stobb Sheep — With the exception of continued enquiry for 4 and 6-tooth cross-breds, for turnip feeding, hut little business has been transacted.

Wool.— Vv"e have now to hand a cablegram from -our London office, dated May 13, reporting close of wool sales at an average decline of l|d* to 2d. Scoured has declined 2d. 13,000 bales taken for export ; 70<l0 withdrawn. The Antwerp Bales are fiat. Trade in the manufacturihs districts dull. A decline is looked for at the next sales. Up to date, 241,000 bales badarrived. "We disposed of a few lots at our auction this afternoon. Half-bred and merino, Waßhed floece, 12£d ; greasy, heavy conditioned, from the Lake district, 6§d. Shebpskths.— -We catalogued this afternoon 2300, which sold at very full rates, butchers' cross-breds bringing 2s lOd to 3a ; merinos. Is lid to 2s 6dY

HIDBS are in good demand. Green butcherssold up to 2ls 6d each ; wet Baited,' 4d'to 4£d per lb. Tallow.— We sold several parcels at £27 to £28 for good mixed, and £21 for inferior. OBAIJf. — "Wheat continues in brisk demand at 4s 6d tb 4s 9d for good to choice milling ; 4s 3d to 4s 5d for inferior to medium qualities. Oats meet good enquiry, and the maiket closes first at Is lOd to la lid for good to heavy feed ; 2a for choice milling. Barley;— Prime malting Is in request at 4s 6d to 4s 9d s secondary and inferior neglected. Prices nominal.
