Messrs Grigor, Maitland & Co., report having sold, on account of Mrs Sarah King, at Kaitangata, "on the 19th April: — Dairy cows, from £6 53 to £10 10s ; horses at fully up to market rates. Furniture and agricultural implements above average rates. Crop iv stock and in ground— satisfactory l'ates.

Ou the 20th April, id; Moa Hill :— Half-bred wethers, in good condition, 9s ; half-bred ewes, 7s Od ; rnerino t ewes, 3s. Cows aad heifers sold at extreme rates, and a very superior cow fetched £15 10s. . Horses and agricultural implements brought very good prices.

At our -yards, Balclutha, on the 28th April, we sold on account of Mr Scott, Waitepeka, 2l of his superior Lincoln rams at £2 per head ; three pens of fat. cattle, from £6 10s to £9 15s • 200 lambs, from 7s to -8s; '20 J cross-bred ewes, 8s 6d ; 300 merino ewes and wethers, 4- tooth to full-mouthed, 5s 3d ' -200 cull ewes, 2s.

"We anticipate good prices for all descriptions of stock during winter months, as very considerable settlement is going on between Clinton and Waipahee, which will require to be supplied by the settlers in the vicinity of the Clutba district for some.time to come.

Grain.— We are still offering Is Id to Is 3d for oats, delivered at the railway bridge, which prices leave no margin, as fnll value for bags is not given by Dunedin -traders, Dunedin rates : —Oats, Is 7d to Is"9cl; wheat, 3s 8d to 4s 0d for prime northern.
