Assistance was refused on the ground tbat the whole loan was required to meet the engagements. Report says tbat Mr Reynolds resigna and goes into tbe Upper House. This will further pave the way for Mr Stafford taking the helm. Messrs Stalford and Reynolds would not sit on tbe e arae Benches. The Financial Statement will be delivered on Friday night. The Loan Papers have created uneasy feelings. Bad railway plant has been coming out. There was a stormy debate on the motion for leave of absence to Sir Julius Yogel, and important points were raised. Mr Stafford strongly supported the Government. All questions were keenly debated. The Session is likely to be a long one.
