This was the first time Host Atkinson, of the Commercial Hotel, had provided a public entertainment in the district, and all gave him credit for the abundance and excellence of the spead he furnished. The toasts usual on such occasions were proposed and duly responded to, several excellent songs were snng, and altogether a very pleasant and harmonious evening was spent.
