LaaDSR Office, Wednesday evening. Oats were reported as being a trifle more animated at tbe close ol last week. Growers, however, still manifested a disposition to hold for improved rates. We quote 2s 8d to 2a, 9d for feed, end 2s lOd to 3s for milling .samples. Wheat continues active. Prime samples are worth 4b 6d to 4s 7d; medium, 8s 6d to 38 9d. Prime malting barley 6s, and 4s to 4a 6d for ordinary parcels. Maclean Bros, report having placed several lota of wheat of good average' quality at 4s to 4s 2d. Importations reached Dunedin daring tho week from the North for transhipment to England. Flour has declined in price, and ia now selling at £10 and £10 10b, witb a fair bakers' tradedoing. In hams and bacon the market Ib still barely supplied. Butter remains firm at geod prices. Prime powdered buttAr is scarce. Of cheese there Is none coming forward.' Late adviceß to hand from Canterbury Btate that the bad weather has had tbe effect of bringing business to a stand still. The grain and produce market quotations were aB follow! :— Wheat 3s 8d ; oats, 2b 6a ; barley, 4s 6d to 4s 9d ; potatoes, 42s 6d ; cheese, BJd to B Jd ; flour, in sacks, LlO, in 100 's £10 7b fid, in 50's£10 15s; bran, £4 10b; sharps, £5 10s ; 19a extra f.o.b. In hams and bacon, manufacturers' prices opened high, which would no doubt limit the export demand for these articles. Quotations are:— Hams and bacon, bare lOJd per lb, in cloth lid ; bacon (only), bare 9*d per lb, in cloth lOd ; hams (only), bare 12a, In cloth 12Jd. Wellington quotations :— Flour. £11 10s to £12 10s ; maize, 7s 6d ; oats, 3s dd; potatoes, £5 10b; bran, Ib 3d. Auckland quotations :— Wheat, 4b 6d ; oats, 3b 6d ; Oamaru flour, £12 ; Christchurch do, £11 ; butter, Is 4d ; cheese, lOd ; ham and bacon, Ib Id.
