Grigor reports for tbe week ending 12th Irfay, having sold at his yards on Friday last, oh account of Mr John Sutherland, 23 half-bred lambs at 108 3d ; on- account" of Mr J. Bishop, 45 half-bred wethers at lis 6d, also 28 merino ewes at 2s ; on account of J. Crawford Anderson, 84 2-tooth halfbred at 6s 7d, 120 full-mouthed do do at 9s, 73 do do at 7s 9d, 130 orosa-bred lambs at 6s 9d, 313 4 and 6tooth cross-bred ewes at 9s 6d ; on account of . Messrs Begg Bros., Hillend Station, 192 fullmouthed rneririo ewes at 3s 6d, 85 fat merino wethers at 9s 9d. 60 do ewes at 7s, 132 do do at 6s -, on account of Mr J. Willocks, 86 fat cross-bred wethers at 14s 3d ; on account of Mr Wm. Moffat, 91 croBS-bred lambs at 6s 6d ; also on account of different vendors, several light horses, realising from £8 to £20. Mr John Macdonald's furniture sale, on the same afternoon, was well attended. The furniture realised extreme rates. I also during the week sold privately, on account of Messrs Begg Bros., Hillend Station, 394 cross-bred ewes at lis • 170 merino ewes at 4s 6d. Grain.— Wheat— There is very little doing, 3s 3d to B»6d per bushel being the extreme figures that can be given here, according to the present Dunedin rates. Oats are inquired for, but the prices asked, fn comparison with those which are soughtjby farmers/are higherjthan buyers are inclined to give. I quote good feed oats, Is lOd ' to 3s ; milling oats, 2s to 3s, delivered at Baiclutha. Barley is in brisk demand ; prime malting samples from 4s 3d to 4s 6d, delivered at Baiclutha.
