AUCTION REPORTS.

The usual mouthly sale of stock was held at the sale yards, Puerua, on Friday last. The attendance was an average one, Mr Alex. Maclean, of Maclean Bros., conducted the sale. A large number of lots were disposed ot, and some few were bought in sellers being seemingly disposed to hold out for extreme prices. Sheep were about the average quality, but the cattle were decidedly inferior °A number of horses, both light and heavy, also some very good draught colts, were offered, but found no buyers. One lot of 70 half-bred full-mouthed wethers, most of them fit for killing, brought 14s 3d A second lot- of 115 realised Hs. A lot of three-quarter-bred lambs sold for 10s ; and another lot of half-bred ewe lambs was bought in for 12s 6d They were afterwards sold at a small advance. A small mixed lot of merino ewes found a purchaser at 4s Two year old. steers fetched £3 2s 6d : vounff heifers and springers, £4 7s 6d to £5 ; inferior old cows, £6 ; young store bullock fetched £7.
