At the last weekly sales the competition for sheep skins was good, the prices obtained showing an advance on late rates. "Wright, Stephenson, and Co. disposed of 1250 at—station skins, 4s 7d to 6s 2d and 7|d per lb; pelts, aocording to quality, 6d to 2s 5d each. Hides continue In good demand, and fetch from 4d to 4^d per lb. 90 medium weights were sold last week at from IT'S 9d to 24s 9d; heifer skins, 8s 3d ; calf skins, up to 3s 3d. Some small lots of inferior tallow were disposed of at L23 to L27 10b. per ton.
