SJ-V GROG SELLING. Wil iara Tnck was indicted, on the information of Sergeant Finnegan, on twoseparate counts, with haviDg sold alcoholic liquors contrary to the provisions of the Licensing Act, at Catlin's tiiver. The accused pleaded not guilty. Witnesses were examined, who testified to the purchasing, on the 14 h instant, alcoholic liquor to the amount of one bottle of brandy. Mr W. Taylor pleaded on behalf of theaccused, that there was no immediate proof of positive sale ; but His Woiship considered otherwise, and fined the accused in the sum of Ll7, with L 3 as witnesses' expenses, and costs o£ Court. < n the conviction of the bcgui d in. the first count, Sirgeant Finnegan withdrew the other information. CIVIL CASES* A number ot civil cases of no immediate importance were disposed ot, some of wbic*i were settled out of Court, and in some instaneea judgment went by default.
