WOOL SALES.

Wright, Stephenson and Co.'s fourth sale for the season took place on Thursday. There was a full Attendance ot buyers and others, and prices obtained were equal to late rates. Most of the American buyers, having completed their orders, are now out of the market. Maclean Bros, report— There was a fall attendance oi buyers and others interested at our Bale on Friday last, and for choice light greasy "Woolb (of which but a few lots were offered) competition was animated, and satisfactory prices were obtained, American buyers bidding freely for all suitable parcels. Several of those buyers have now completed their orders, but others will remain in the market for some time to come, and there is no doubt that all desirable lots that may be offered will command full prices from them. For medium and heavy.conditioned wools the demand continues alight, and several clips of this description which were catalogued at the sale referred to were passed in unsold, owners' reserves being beyond local buyers' rates of value. Washed wools arc in fair request and without any noticeable alteration in value. We quote superior greasy at 14d to Is|d; medium, n|d to Kjd ; inferior, 9Jd to lid. Superior washed, 2l£d to 22d ; medium, IBJd to 20d ; interior, I6d to IBd. Henry Driver reports— l submitted a catalogue of 1,200 bales at my eale on the the 10th inst. There was a full attendance of local and American buyers and others interested. As I anticipated, the competition for light greasy wools was not so good as heretofore, as the American buyers have filled their vessels and, for the most part, completed their purchases. Other descriptions of wool are but slightly affected, and every lot offering at fair value is readily disosed of. I was under the necessity of withdrawing several large lots, owing to non-receipt of owners* instructions. I quote superior light-conditioned .southern wool at Irom lid to I4d ; ordinary medium conditioned do 9£d to II Jd ; washed, I7d to 22d.
