We. have placed TOO two-tooth merino rams, on account of Messrs Johnston, of Kaihika, at L.3 3s ; 20 on account of Mr Peter Ayson, at £3 3s ; 21 imported from H 1 ?., 11^ of Messrs Sandes, James, and Co., Adelaide, at «8 ;13 prime Leicester rams fttXlO 10s, 1 at £20. Sid 6 ewes at £16 each, from the celebrated flocks o? the N^w Zealand and Australian Land Comp&ny. Horses -Wright, Stepnenson A Co.'s sale en ulht and inferior, £5 to £8. Store Sheep.-There is still an active demand for vonng sheep of all classes, especially merinos. During the week he placed 4,000 at quotations Wright, Stephenson & Co, sold 4,000 merino wethers, full-mouthed, at 5s 6d ; 2.000 merino ewes, Si-tooth and full-mouthed, at 8s for former, and 5s for latter; 1,450 mixed cross-breds. four-tooth at lls • 200 Leicester rams at £3 10s to £4. Store Cattle.— There is still a good demand for well grown cattle of all descriptions, which are quoted at from £6 to £7 tor bullocks ; cows, £4 10s to £5 10s : mixed herds, 508 to 70s, according to quality and breeding. FatXambs.— 3so were penned, 65 of which were ; disposed of by Wright, Stephenson «& Co. at from i 7s9dtoßs6d. Maclean Bros, sold at auction and nrivately 180 at from 7s to 10s according to quality. Henry Driver sold 175 on account of Messrs Calendar Staand and others. Fat Sheep.— l,ooo were penned, of which about 1 000 were taken by the trade. Wright. Stephenson and Co. sold 40-) merino wethers, medium quality, at 7s 9d ;75 ditto, good quality, at 10a ; and 100 half- bred ewes, at 12s 6d. They quote prime halfbreds 25d per lb, ; do merinos, 2£d. At former rate they sold privately 1.500 crose-breds. Henry Driver sold at the yards 500 of various sorts, and placed for forward delivery 600 at market rates ; and also delivered during the week 1,000 merinos and cross-breds, on account of Watson Shennan, Esq., of Puketol Station, the merinos being the best iot of this description of sheep delivered during the season, averaging 6«b each. He quotes best eross-breds at 2p to 3d per lb. j do merinos, 2id. Maclean Bros, sold 450, by auction and privately. They quote preßent value of prime cross-bred mutton may be quoted at from 2fd to 3d; ditto merino, 2Jd to ajd. Fat Calves are in good demand. Wright, Stephenion and Co, sold 13 head at from 25s to 47s each. Good vealers are very scarce, and any coming forward realise extreme rates. Fat Cattle.— A full supply came forward, causingDriceß to drop a little below last week's rates. 140 head were yarded. Wright, Stephenson and Co. sold 64 head at from £7 to £10 10s for bullocks, and £6 to £9 17s 6d for cows. They quote prime quality 25s to 27s per 1001 b; medium do, 20s to 2ls. Maclean Bros, sold and delivered 40 head privately during the week. They quote prime quality beef 25s to 27s 6d per 1001 b: medium and inferior, 20s to 22s 6d, On account of Mesßrs Bryce Brothers, Ralph Moir, Maunsell, Lindsay, and others, Henry Driver sold 80 head at quotations, and placed for private delivery 40 head at market rates.
