Clutha Athenteum.
A meeting of the Committee of the Clutha Athenaeum wns held on the •evening of I'tiesdsjy. Present — Messrs Ritchie, Kohertsou, Crammond, Campbell and Grigor (Secretary).- A letter was read and considered, from Mr Mason relative to the Athenaeum section. It was agreed that' '.the writer should lie allowed occupation, of the section on condition that he fenced it in from the new building 1 to within 20 feet of. the back. A notice of motion w:is tabled for the next meeting, that the fallowing be adopted as a scale of charges for temporary residents in the distiiic:-— per week, Is; per month, 2s 6d ; pfr quarter, ?s 6d ; said charges to entitle tlte payee to admission to the reading-room only. '
