DOUBLE-BLAST THRASHING MACHINE.
The time is drawing nigh for farmers to commence their threshing, and no doubt many of them are on the lookout for a suitable machine to. do their work. To meet their requirements we give' the following description of one of Ransomes, Sims, and Head's .machines, which they style one of their class A3 double-blast threshing and finishing ma chines It is fitted with one of Kornsby's p.". tent rotary corn screens, which is self-cleaning, and adjustable to every description of grain. It is especially suited for all countries where a fine even sample of grain is sought after. Ft i* a double-blast machine, fitted with patent drum and corrugated iron beaters, wrought iron concave bars, improved rotary shakers, which are said to take less power than any others, and is admirably adapted for threshingbarley, on account of the clean sample it produces, and the freedom from breakage or damage to the grain, which is of great importance to the malster. It is mounted on strong road wheels for travelling, and fitted with break, in addition to a skid and chain. This class of machine will thresh from 650 to 750 bushels per day of wheat, cut with longstraw, if driven by an ordinary 10-horse power portable engine, or an 8-horse power portable expansion engine. • Persons wishing- further particulars respecting this machine can obtain them at Mr W.
