Grigor. reports : — Having sold on the Show Day, 27th ult., 6 light draught horses, from L27 to L3O ; 8 light hacks at from LlO to 1.18, according to style and quality ; also 50 hoggets, ha'f of them shoru, at 10s per head. Store cattie still in demand at last week's rates. Fat cattle are quoted at a slight reduction on last week's rates, say 37s 6d per lOJlb. Grain— Oats still keep at good value, say 5s to 5s Id for prime milling samples ; ieed, 4s lod; wheat, 4s 3d to 48 6d, very little ottering ; barley, prime samples, 4s 4d to 4 s Cd.

Capstick, Duthie and Co. report :— Sheep.— UO cross bred-ewes, with lambs at foot, 255 ; M cross-bred hoggets, 14s ; 51 cross-bred ewes, wilh lambs at foot, 6d; 100 merino ewes, with lambs at foot, lis each. Cattle-^35 head of fat. cattle, from L7 10s to Ll2 each ; 37 head oi mixed cattle, 35s each. At their monthly sales at Waitahuna, on 25th ult. store cattie brought L3 7s 6d each. At their yards on Thursday, 26th ult, they sold— Sheep -44 ewes, with lambs at foot, lis each ; 43 Leicester ewesj with 21 lambs at foot, 3ls ; liiO merino wethers, 10s ; 40 shorn merino wethers, 5a ; fat lambs brought 10s each. Freehold Property— They sold 80 building sections in the township of Brcoklands, averaging oyer L9 los each*
DUNEDIN, Messrs Wright, Stefhessoh, and Co. report :— Fat Cattle— l3o head were yarded, and as this Was beyond the trade requirements a portion had to be turned out unsold. We sold on account of Messrs Wallace, Manson, and M'Donald, fio head. Bullocks brought from L8 to Ll4 ; cows, from 1,6 15s to L12 } being equal to 34s per lOOlbs for prime quality, and 2os for medium ditto. Fat Calves are in good demand. Fat Sheep— A fair supply of 850 came forward^ We sold 500 crosfl-breds in wool at from 25s to 27s 6d ; 200 ditto, shorn, at 15s 9d ; 130 merinos, at 12s 9d. We quote prime cross-breds, 4sd to 5d per lb ; ditto merinos, 4d. Fat Lambs— 2oo were penned. We sold 178 at from 7s 3d to 9s 3d. Store Cattle— Grown cattle still keep in good demand. We sold 174 head of bullocks and spayed cows at L5 Bs. We quote bullocks, 4to 5 years old, L7 ; ditto, 3 years old, L5 ; spayed cows, L4 to L4 10s ; mixed cattle, L3. Horses— Owing to the simultaneous arrival of several lots the demand for draught stock is slightly weaker. We sold on account of Mr D. M'Callum, a shipment of heavy draught horses, ex Albion, from Melbourne, at from L32 10s to L55. We also sold, on account of Mr W. L. Philp, a draft of 25 head Provincial-bred saddle and light harness horses at from LlO to LlB. We beg to direct attention to our sale on Saturday, sth December, of a shipment of 38 head heavy draught mares and geldings, ex Olive Bram-h, from Hobart Town. *Ve quote first-class draughts, L55 to L7O ; medium do, L3O to L45; good hacks and light harness horses, L25 to L3O ; medium do, Lll to Lls ; light and inferior, L4 to L7. Wool— Bv cable the following advices have been received, dated London, 19th November : — " The London co'onial wool sales opened on the *7th. The total arrivals amount to more than 80,000 bales, of which upwards of 5500 bales were offered. Cape of Good Hope wool preponderated. Home buvers were more numerous than those from foreign conntries. The bidding commenced with great spirit, and the prices ranged about the same as at the last series." Sheepskins— There was a full attendance at our weekly sale. We offered 800, chiefly dry station skins, and disposed of every lot at prices fully equal to last week's rates. Our sales consisted of butchers* green merinos at from 3s 6d to 6s ; halfbreds, 6s lOd to 7s 2d ; dry station skins, 2s 4d to 5s lOd each, according to quality. Shearing is now pretty general all over the Province. We have received into store the first instalment of several clips, but they will not be offered before the middle of December, by which time we expect to see buyers from America, who are at present in Australia. We anticipate a good business being done this season. At our Wednesday's sa'e we disposed of several small lots of farmer's greasy wool at from lo£d to l2Jd per lb ; and a lot of scoured at Is SJd. Taieri— On the 24th ult. we held a sale by auction at Maryburn Farm, Saddle Hill, on account of Mr James Pryde, of the whole of his stock and implements. There was a large attendance, and bidding was lively. Draught horses brought from LSO to L66; saddle do, Lll to Lls; dairy cows, L4 10s to Lll 108 : steers, L3 15s ; dairy cows, L4 10s to Lll 10s j steers, L3 lss ; heifers, L2 15s ; yearlings 27s 6d ; farming implements, satisfactory prices! On the 2fith we held a sale by auction at Mos°iel on account of Mr J Ames Wright, and sold 200 head of bullocks and spayed cows. Bullocks brought from L4 15s to L7 los ; cows, L4 to L4 ss. On the 27th we held a sale of stock and implements by auction at Mount Pleasant Farm, Otakia, by order of Mr Robert Milne. The attendance of buyers waß food. Lieht draught horses brought from LlB to ,22; saddle horses, Lll to US; dairy eowa, L3 •08 to L7; yearlings, 20s to 27s 6d ; implements and household furniture, good prices. Grain Market — We have no change to report In our market. Wheat is in good demand up to 5s 6d per bushel for first-class samples. Oats ncarce, and wanted at 5s 6d to 6s per bushel for feed. Barley may he quoted at 5s to 6s 6d per bushel for good malting, and 4s 3d to 4s 9d for feed, The Oamaru journal reports an advance ia wheat and oats has been established, present quotations being— Wheat, 4s 8d ; oats, 5s 3d. Flour partakes of the rise in value, being: now quoted at Li2 los to Ll3, prices hardening, Oatmeat is still at L26 ; bran, Li *"» - pollard, Le iot.
