Smith, M'-Donald, Grigor, Bell, arid Inglis (iv the" chair). / v' .-* The minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed. v.* Mpj-sra -Carson and ,Mqore.B was the only tenqer for works, required. at Kaitangata Punt : " amount',' ''LfiS 16s.—^s there was evidently some mistake as .to' tbe amount of work to be done,,the, tender, w^s refused. It was agreed that the Punt Committee be authorised to let the fencing, gates, &c., required to facilitate the crossing of cattle. M'Donald and Dickson _to ren-oy,<2.,alJl,croߧ- fences, gates, f &c.,' from this road iine. : f 4 * v * Mr* , Smith; -reported that Mr. Adam King'had consented to act as Ranger and Poundkeeper kt-a salary of L 5 and pound fees, the pound to be his stockyard and paddock adjoining on Section 5, Block IV; North Molyneux. — Mr. M'Donald stated that Mr. John M'Kisepck had consented to lacf. as J Rangelr jarid iPbundke'eper i atrlnch Clutha upon the same terms, the pound to be upon Section 9, r ßlock Xll. . ,• l It was proposed by Mr. Grigor, seconded by Mr. M'Doiiaid'' fchd' Carried— "That Mr. Watson, railway contractor, be requested by the- Board to prepare plans, specifications, and estimate ot cost of a /bridge; to be, erecte'dl across /the Ma{Ju to Inch Clutha, at a point shewn upon a plan submitted -by this Board.''; It was proposed'by Mr. Grigor, seconded by Mr. M'Donald, and carried—" That the rate for current year be 9 i in the L." Mr. Grigor explained plans and specifications from Driver, Stewart and Co. for improvement of Hill Road, after which Mr. Smith proposed that tenders for formation and seven chains of metal be advertised for. R. M'Kinlay'l account for culvert on finch -Clutha riyer]road- was; -passed, and cheque made out' for same.'
