Mr Ray Hanna, a New Zealander living in Suffolk, England, sits in the Spitfire he will pilot in demonstrations to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the Battle of Britain next June. The event will take place at Biggin Hill, Kent, on June 16 and 17. Biggin Hill was a wartime airfield that is now used by civil aircraft. Aircraft related to the battle will be at a fair at Biggin Hill during the demonstrations. Each day the fair will begin with a Vic-formation flight of three Spitfires led by Mr Hanna. The Vic-formation was standard in the battle. As well as flying demonstrations at the fair there will be a photographic exhibition and an aircrew reunion.
