Three Canterbury rugby players, Stephen Bachop, Andrew McCormick and Phil Cropper, are members of the Canterbury touch team named recently. The teams travel to Wanganui in February for a touch national championship. Notable selections in the women’s team include a Canterbury netballer, Margaret Bray, a basketball representative, Sue Garden, and a top soccer player, Julia Campbell.
