Rangiora is is now the favourite to take the Canterbury croquet intermediate interclub title, following a 4-2 win over St James A. The other undefeated team, South Brighton, won by default when injury and illness prevented United A from fielding a side. In the B grade. Fendalton A and Holmes Park had the closest possible match. After a 3-3 tie in games it was discovered the teams also had the same number of points. Results: A grade: United 2, Elmwood A 4; South Brighton 2, Cashmere 4; Sumner 6, Elmwood B 0. Intermediate: Elmwood 6, United B 0; Barrington 4, St James B 2; Rangiora 4, St James A -2; Cashmere 4, Redcliffs 2; United A lost to South Brighton by default. B grade — Section one: Fendalton A 3, Holmes Park 3 (points draw); St James B 2, Elmwood A 4; Redcliffs 6, Kaiapoi 0. Section two: Cashmere 6, Fendalton B 0; Sumner 6, Elmwood B 0; Barrington 2, St Martins 4.
