Central Districts has retained the side which lost by an innings to Auckland last week-end for the Shell Trophy cricket fixture against Canterbury at Napier starting on Friday. However, it is expected that Stu Duff, the twelfth man at- Auckland, will resume his spin bowling partnership with Paul Unwin at the expense of one of the seam bowlers. Terry McKenna is favoured to carry the drinks. Central's side is:— Martin Crowe (captain), John Smith, Scott Briasco, Mark Greatbatch, Mark Douglas, Tony Blain, lan Fisher, Gary Robertson, Stu Duff, Paul Unwin, Greg Logan, Terry McKenna.
