Net beef export prices for week beginning December 11,1989 P.P.C.S./ Alliance Waitaki Riverlands C.F.M. Canty Pukeuri
1. The net beef export prices shown above in cents a kg carcase weight are calculated after adding in announced premiums and deducting all levies (e.g. F.F., Meat Board, and disease levies and preshipment charge). 2. To calculate the price for a different weight range than indicated above, use the table to find out how much to add or subtract; e.g. for a 250 kg steer take off sc/kg. 3. Spot premiums above these announced export prices are sometimes paid. Allowance also has to be made for potential pool payments with some companies. 4. Changes: Alliance (CANTY); All Cow plus lOc/kg. Prime steer and heifer grades over 220 kg up 5 to Bc/kg. Premiums for steer, heifer and bull up to $35. Riverlands; Prime steer and heifer above 220 kg plus sc/kg. Steer premiums —sc'/kg. Manufacturing grades plus sc/kg. PPCS/CFM M Cow plus sc/kg. Processing discounts reduced to $3O per head.
