Kedgley marries A Wellington public relations manager, Ms Sue Kedgley, and a lawyer, Mr Denis Foot, married yesterday at their Oriental Bay home. Ms Kedgley, known in the 1960 s for her feminist views, said she and Mr Foot, a former city councillor, had lived together for the last year and “gone out together for longer than we can remember.” The late afternoon ceremony was presided over jointly by two longtime friends, Ms Sonja Davies, and Mr Jim Kebbell, and attended by 120 guests. Ms Kedgley and Mr Foot wrote their own service. “I don’t know how you would describe it but it’s not traditional,” she said.. - PA. Wgtn fun-run A 10km fun-run in support of the African National Congress was held yesterday around Wellington’s Oriental Bay. The ANCAotearoa convener, Rupert Watson, said the run was a “positive solidarity event” where people could show their support.for the anti-apartheid struggle in South Africa. The event, which was non-competitive (although times were given to runners for their own interest) was held to coincide with International Human Rights Day. _pa.
