Happy hundred years
Mrs Florence Wilson, of Christchurch, who said she did not know the secret of reaching 100 years of age yesterday, her hundreth birthday. She said she felt quite good for her age, and had no one memory that stood put in her mind. “I liked it all,” she said. Mrs Wilson was surrounded by members of her family. In her first marriage she had
one son. She remarried when she was 66, her second husband was her grandson’s wife’s grandfather. They were together until his death 12 years later. Mrs Wilson came to New Zealand from England with her family when she was 20, and has lived in Canterbury since then. She has one grandson and two great-grand daughters.
