NZPA-AP New York The last obstacle between a luxury hotel queen, Leona Helmsley, and sentencing was lifted yesterday when a judge refused to set aside her conviction for tax evasion. In Washington, the United States Supreme Court yesterday refused to kill a lawsuit against her husband, a billionaire hotel owner, Harry Helmsley, and others accused of fraud in a New York City condominium conversion project.
