Public Notices REVIEW OF OMBUDSMEN ACT 1975 AND OFFICIAL INFORMATION ACT 1982 IN RELATION TO STATE ENTERPRISES PARLIAMENT has set up a State-Owned Enterprises (Ombudsmen and Official Information Acts) Committee to review the effect of the Ombudsmen Act 1975, and the Official Information Act 1982 on the operation of State enterprises. The review will determine whether either, or both of those Acts should continue to apply to State enterprises. It will also examine the relevant changes (f any) that should be made to either or both of those Acts, if it decides that either or both should continue to apply. Persons or organisations wishing to make submissions on the above review should forward 20 copies to this office by Friday, January 26, 1990. CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL STOPPING OF A SERVICE LANE (MOUNTVIEW PLACE - SHANDS ROAD) IT is hereby publicly notified that pursuant to Section 342(1) (a) of the Local Government Act 1974, the Christchurch City Council proposes to stop the abovementioned road as described in the Schedule hereto. SCHEDULE All that parcel of land containing 400 square metres or thereabouts shown marked ‘B’ on Survey Office Plan 18229. This refers to a service lane at the western end of Mountview Place extending 44 metres in a north-westerly direction towards Shands Road. It is proposed that once stopped, the Service Lane will be disposed of to the adjoining owner for industrial purposes. All that'parcel of land containing 1 square metre or thereabouts shown marked ‘A’ on Survey Office Plan 18229. This refers to a portion of a Service Lane adjoining Shands Road and the northwestern end of Parcel B described in the Schedule above. It is proposed that once stopped, the Service Lane will be held in Council ownership. The abovementioned plan may be Inspected during normal office hours at the Office of the Sockburn Service Centre, 149 Main South Road, Sockburn. Any person having any objection to this proposal is required to submit the objection in writing to the undersigned not later than Friday, January 26, 1990.
