Later starting time
This month’s Ansett N.Z. Auckland Centennial Trotting Cup will be run at the later starting time of 10.05 p.m. Television coverage of the cup, at $500,000 the richest harness racing event to be staged in New Zealand, is scheduled to commence at 9.45 p.m. on Friday, December 29. The guest of honour for the evening and presenter of the Centennial Cup will be the Governor-General, Sir Paul Reeves.
