Southland District Council DIRECTOR OF TECHNICAL SERVICES Southland District Council is seeking suitably experienced and qualified candidates for a key position within the senior management structure of the largest land area District Council in New Zealand. The boundary of the Southland District Council extends from Milford Sound in the north to Stewart Island in the south and encompasses some of the most productive pastureland in the Country. • The successful applicant would be responsible for 16 staff members who carry out design and draughting of bridges, road realignment, sewerage and water schemes and the administration of the District property and reserves. Each candidate should be a Registered Engineer with proven ability, preferably in local authority design and staff management. An attractive salary and benefits package together with a generous relocation allowance will be on offer to the successful candidate.
