Science, computing awards
Science and computing students at Christchurch Polytechnic received awards for their year’s work on Thursday.
They received the National Certificate in Business Computing and the Christchurch Polytechnic Certificate in Applied Sciences. Awards were presented by the Government analyst at the D.5.1.R., Dr Max Robertson, as follows:
The Foodstuffs Award for the top all-round student in a programming class, Peter Baker:
Coopers and Lybrand Award for the top allround student in a personal computer major class, Kerri Broadhurst; New Zealand Institute of Food and Technology Award for the best project in food science, Rebekah Ruble; New Zealand Institute of Chemistry (Canterbury branch) Award for the top stage-four chemistry student, Linda Burrows (1988) and Gillian McTigue (1989).
