Endurance praised
Mike Predergast, the general manager of Countdown Foodmarkets Ltd, would like to personally thank customers and staff for enduring the dif-' ficulties that have occurred during the last six months. “We managed to trade
right through the rebuilding period without losing one shopping day and I believe that the inconvenience that may have been caused during this phase will be more than compensated for by the excellent new facility which we open today,” he
said. Basic product categories will still be in the same places with fruit and vegetable areas the first encountered and the service areas along the back wall. “By tripling our space we are able to introduce
another 800 different product lines that we were not able to carry in the old operation because of the limited shelf area. “I am sure that shopping at Countdown Northlands will be a very pleasant experience,” he said.
