I’m not one to gossip, but ... Dustin Hoffman wants to play James Bond in the next movie, but he really falls a little short. He’s only 157 cm (sft 2in) tall, and all the actors who have previously played Bond the suave lady killer have been at least 180 cm. That’s not putting Dustin off — he says he really wants to play Bond, no matter what. Talk about the odd couple! Clint Eastwood and Woody Allen are talking about doing a Western movie together, with both of them co-starring. In a role reversal, Woody will play a bad guy and Clint an innocent cowboy. Not even a million dollars could lure Doris Day away from her beloved animals. This offer was made to her to appear for only six shows in Las Vegas with her old 1940 s band leader, Les Brown. But Doris turned the offer down flat, saying that she could not be away from her animals ' for that time. The 65-year-old star lives in a beautiful house on her estate in Carmel, California. She has not appeared ' on American TV since 1973, and, according to her, son ' and manager, Terry Melcher, who has his own ' music business, her voice is as good as ever. She has never -stopped singing. He said, "Cindy knows how to balance her family life and her work, I never had that with Goldie.”
