Megabucks out of carnival
The promising galloper, Megabucks, had had his proposed Riccarton trip cancelled after he developed soreness earlier in the week.
Megabuck’s trainer, Lloyd Burdett, advised the Canterbury Jockey Club of the change in plans yesterday.
Megabucks was to fly south with Phillipa Rush today. The club were endeavouring to replace him with another prospective runner, possibly a two-year-old stablemate of Phillipa Rush, two of which have been nominated for the final day of the meeting.
