North Island invasion
Northern .stables look set to play a major role in the scheme of things at the North Canterbury Racing Club’s meeting at Rangiora on Monday. More than 30 horses trained in the North Island accepted for the meeting and, while some defections are expected, the visitors should prove hardest to beat in several races. The North Canterbury Cup is an excellent betting race, rich with : form and the big northern threat beside Injustice is Sir Nova, a vastly-im-proved galloper for Bruce Marsh this season. Their clash with form southerners such as Palastone, Dogwood, St James
and Peach Melba should be a highlight of the day.
