Area Health Board

Sir,-The Canterbury Health Team wishes to congratulate the successful candidates elected to the area health board, and thanks those who supported the team in the recent election. As a group of independents, we were especially encouraged by the good will shown to us by more seasoned campaigners, and thank those in charge at Coronation, Templeton and Sunnyside Hospitals who readily gave team members access and happily answered our many questions.

The Canterbury Health Team will build on the experience gained and plans to field a team for the Canterbury Area Health Board elections in three years. It is the intention of the team to actively promote policies of our group, especially those which protect life and promote health.—Yours, etc., HILARY L. EDMUNDS. October 17, 1989.
