Voting details
Voting papers for this month's local body election were generally posted last Friday. Voters should have received, or received In the next day of so, four or five sets of ballot papers.
You get to vote for: • councillors In your ward of the district or city. • councillors in your constituency of the regional council. • representatives In your area of the area health board. • and in many areas, representatives on the community board for your area of the district or city.
Some voters will also get voting papers for the election of a licensing trust in their area. Candidates for the trusts have not been included in this election section, but trust results will be run as part of the election results. .
The last day voting papers may be posted out to electors is Wednesday, if you have not received your voting papers by then, you should contact your returning officer. Voting papers must be with returning officers by noon on October 14, election day. Returning office — 28. Not all candidates have supplied statements or photographs for this section. Some standing for more than one position, are on record here-only once. The names of all candidates, however, are listed and cross references have been made to the other positions for which they are standing.
