David Butcher, has requested a Temporary Safeguard Authority undertake an inquiry into the impact of increased imports of footwear on the domestic manufacturers of such footwear. The Authority is inviting interested parties to make written submissions on the following points: (1) The effect increased imports of footwear has had, or may have, on the domestic industry. (2) Whether urgent action is required to protect the domestic industry. (3) If such urgent action is necessary, what specific measures should be applied.
