In a gesture befitting Christchurch’s English image, office staff have donned straw boaters to help persuade customers to try post-paid en-
velopes. “It simply reflects local initiative in wanting to try something a bit differnt,” said N.Z. Post’s Christchurch retail
operations manager, Mr Peter Graham. The five-week national promotion, which began last week, offers a $20,000 travel prize .
