Name released
The police have released the name of a man found dead on Te Horo beach on Monday night. He was Ervin James Lutherus, aged 63, of Pahiatua. The Levin police said Mr Lutherus had been collecting firewood on the beach when his car became stuck in sand. The police believe Mr Lutherus died of a heart attack when he tried to move his trapped vehicle. —PA.
