Aust, rowers extend lead

Australia extended its lead in the trans-Tasman senior B (under-23) rowing series to five points after the second test at Lake Ruataniwha, Twizel, yesterday. In the seven priority events, counting for double points, New Zealand reversed the first test results, shading the Australians, 22-20, but the visitors won six of the seven non-priority races to take a 55-50 over-all lead in the series. One test remains to be rowed on Saturday.
